HENRY GRUB ORIGINAL OIL ON CANVAS MODEL IN ARTIST'S STUDIO, 1921 £2100 HENRY GRUB (American, 1884-1963) Signed and dated. Grub worked as a painter, sculptor, and architect. He studied in New York with Bridgman, and was a member of the League of American Artists, Society of Independent Artists, and the Salons of America. He lived in Great Neck, New York, exhibiting from the 1920s-40s, and died in Japan in 1963. Painting has been cleaned and newly framed with non-reflective museum glass. Colour is good and strong, original varnish. Some crazing, but paint is stable.
