LOUNGE CHAIR Magnus Olesen Denmark 1960s SOLD - Leather and teak armchair manufactured by Magnus Olesen, Denmark, 1960s. - Teak polished, good colour. - Leather has been reconditioned, good throughout with minor age related wear. - Label to underside. An unusual and very rare chair by Magnus Olesen. Olesen founded a company of the same name in Denmark in 1937. The strap and buckle design is reminiscent of Arne Norell, creating a chair that is interesting from all angles. The leather straps are in original condition with some aging, to add contrast to the conditioned leather and teak. Also in the room: bronze by Sally Grant ('Fall') and original photograph of Henry Moore by John Hedgecoe |
